I still haven't seen Pearl Harbor because the last time I taught CPLT325, the students, after hearing how much I hate Titanic, said that Pearl Harbor is very similar in that the film presents a historic event not for its own significance but more for the corny love story the producer added to it in order to sell movie tickets. I love Tora! Tora! Tora! because it tells the story from the Japanese perspective which is interesting, but even more important to me is the fact that it does so without adding some goofy love story that has nothing to do with the event.
